Why "Petite" Pants Still Drag on Women 5'4" and Under (It's Not Your Legs)
You bought the petite. You tried the short. You still ended up rolling the hem, pinning it, or paying a tailor. Here is why it keeps happening, and the one number that fixes it.

What women write online about the petite pants they already bought:
“I'm 5'1" and I needed to turn over the waistline and hem the legs even though I ordered "short" and I did get "short" just not short enough!”Amazon review of another brand's pull-on pant
“I'm 5'2" and ordered the short and still have to wear 3"+ heels.”Amazon review of another brand's trouser
“My inseam is 24" and I have to add an extra $12 to the cost of every pair of pants I buy to account for taking them to a tailor.”Reddit, r/PetiteFashionAdvice
“I have shrunk over an inch as have many of my elderly friends since reaching over 70yrs of age!!!”Gransnet forum
1"Petite" Usually Means Smaller, Not Shorter
Most brands build their petite by shrinking the whole pant a little. The waist gets smaller, the hips get smaller, and the leg often stays 28 or 29 inches. If your inseam is 26, that is two or three inches of fabric on the floor.
That is why you can buy the petite, the short and the extra short and still end up rolling the hem. Your legs were never the problem. The number was.
Three extra inches is the fabric you have been rolling, pinning and paying to cut.

2The Meridian Tells You the Number
Two real lengths, printed on the size selector: Petite 26" and Regular 30". Same waist, same fit through the hip, same fabric. Only the leg changes.
Every size from XXS to XXL comes in both lengths, so a size 16 at 5'1" gets the same short leg as a size 4 at 5'1".
| Your height | Your length | Inseam |
|---|---|---|
| 5'0" to 5'4" | Petite | 26" |
| 5'5" to 5'9" | Regular | 30" |
The 26 and 30 are the inseam, crotch to hem, not the full length of the pant. Under 5'0", the Petite will sit a little long.

3Watch It Move, Not Just Stand
A hem that looks fine in a mirror can still catch under your heel on the stairs. That is where too-long pants give themselves away, and where you start holding the rail.
On the Petite, nothing reaches the step. Sitting, walking, climbing: the hem stays at the ankle.

Two weeks at the tailor. Safety pins in the meantime. Heels you only wore so the hem would not drag. It adds up, pair after pair.

5It Looks Like a Real Trouser, Not a Legging
A 240 g matte knit, heavy enough to stay opaque when you sit or bend. A clean straight leg that holds its line. A seamless fold-over waistband with no button and no hook, so nothing digs in after lunch.
Blazer for the meeting, sweater for the plane, silk top for dinner. Nobody can tell it is a pull-on.

6Made for the Height You Are Now
Many women lose an inch or more after 60, and pants that fit ten years ago start to drag. If your regular pants suddenly feel long, you are not imagining it.
Pick the length that fits you today. If you are between two sizes, size down: the waistband stretches.

What women asked us under our ads
Real comments from our Facebook ads, with our honest answers:
“As someone who is 5', that's still too long. You need an extra short.”
Our answer: Fair. The Petite is cut for 5'0" to 5'4", and under 5'0" it can sit a touch long. We would rather tell you than sell you something to hem.
“I'm 5'8" and 30" would come halfway up my shin bone.”
Our answer: It does not: 30 inches is the inseam, not the full length of the pant. At 5'8" the Regular lands at the ankle bone.
“What about all the tall gals over 5'9"?”
Our answer: Today the Regular stops at 30 inches, cut up to 5'9". Past that we are not there yet, and it is the request we hear most.
“I have to distrust anything advertised on Facebook.”
Our answer: Understood. Checkout runs on Shopify, orders ship from the US, and you have 90 days to send anything back.

Questions before you pick
I'm under 5'0". Is the petite short enough?
The Petite is cut for 5'0" to 5'4". Under 5'0" it sits a little long, with a soft break over the shoe. It works well with a small heel.
I'm 5'5" or taller. Which one?
Regular, 30 inches, cut for 5'5" to 5'9". It reaches the shoe instead of stopping above the ankle.
I'm between two sizes.
Size down. The fold-over waistband stretches and sits flat.
Will it look like leggings or "mom pants"?
No. The knit is matte and heavy, the leg is straight and structured, and a faux fly at the front makes it read as a trouser.
Is it see-through when I sit or bend?
No. The 240 g knit stays opaque.
How do I wash it?
Machine wash cold, line dry. It never needs an iron.
What if the size or length is wrong?
You have 90 days to return it.
